Choking is one of the most underestimated emergencies at home. Every year, thousands of people struggle to breathe because food or an object is stuck in the airway. The standard first-aid steps: back blows and abdominal thrusts (Heimlich manoeuvre) work in many cases. But not always.

The Comformidable Airway Rescue Device was developed for exactly that moment. When standard first aid no longer works, this device creates powerful suction with a single motion, pulling the blockage out of the airway. No power, no batteries, no complicated steps.

How does the Airway Rescue Device work?

The device works with a one-way valve. When you push the plunger down, all air escapes through the valve. No air can be pushed into the lungs, so the object cannot be pushed deeper. When you pull the plunger back, a vacuum is created that pulls the blockage out of the airway.

Ready to use in three steps

  1. Place the mask over the nose and mouth of the person
  2. Push the plunger down, the air escapes through the valve
  3. Pull the plunger back, the suction removes the blockage

If it does not work on the first attempt, repeat steps 2 and 3 without removing the mask.

The Comformidable Airway Rescue Device is suitable for use at home, at school, in restaurants, at childcare centres, in care facilities and anywhere people eat. It is intended for persons from 1 year old (or at least 10 kg body weight). The device should only be operated by persons in full possession of their physical and mental abilities.

An ambulance often needs several minutes to arrive. In a choking emergency, there are about 4 minutes before brain damage becomes irreversible. An Airway Rescue Device can make the difference in those critical minutes.

Important: In an emergency, always call 112 first. This device is intended as an addition to standard first aid, not a replacement.

Volg deze stappen alleen als rugstoten en de Heimlich-manoeuvre niet hebben gewerkt. Bel altijd eerst 112.

  1. Plaats het juiste masker – kies het masker dat past bij het slachtoffer (volwassen of kind) en plaats het stevig over neus en mond
  2. Druk de zuiger naar beneden – de lucht ontsnapt via het eenrichtingsventiel, er wordt geen lucht in de longen geduwd
  3. Trek de zuiger krachtig terug – het vacuüm zuigt de blokkade uit de luchtweg
  4. Controleer de luchtweg – verwijder zichtbare voorwerpen voorzichtig met je vingers
  5. Herhaal indien nodig – herhaal stap 2 en 3 zonder het masker te verwijderen tot de luchtweg vrij is

Na gebruik

Dit is een eenmalig te gebruiken product. Vervang het apparaat na elk gebruik, ook als de blokkade succesvol is verwijderd.

Belangrijke regel

Gebruik dit apparaat alleen als de persoon écht stikt en standaard EHBO niet werkt. Bij twijfel: bel 112 en volg de instructies van de meldkamer.
