- Step 1 — Preparation
First, read through the steps. Make sure you have a cup or bowl of hot (not boiling) water ready and a glass of cold water. - Step 2 — Shaping the mouthguard
- Place the snore guard in hot water for 20–30 seconds so the material softens.
- Take it out (possibly with a spoon) and let it cool briefly so it is not too hot.
- Put the guard in your mouth and bite down gently.
- Press with your fingers along your teeth/molars so the material fits snugly.
- Remove the guard and place it in cold water for 10–15 seconds to set the shape.
- Step 3 — Putting it in before sleeping
- Put the guard in just before you go to sleep.
- Your lower jaw will be held slightly forward. This feels strange at first but is normal. - Step 4 — Getting used to it and building up
- Wear the guard for shorter periods the first few nights if that feels better.
- Usually your mouth/jaw gets used to it after a few nights. - Step 5 — Cleaning
- Rinse with lukewarm water after each night.
- Clean with mild soap or a soft brush.
- Let dry well and store in a clean box.
Tip: Do you get slight jaw tension at first? This is common with MRA guards and usually lessens after getting used to it. Stop if you feel pain or persistent complaints.

In 4 simpele stappen
1. Dompel onder in heet water
Breng water aan de kook en giet dit in een glas of kom. Leg de snurkbeugel 30–60 seconden in het hete water tot het materiaal zacht en flexibel wordt. (Gebruik bij voorkeur een tang of lepel om hem eruit te halen.)
2. Laat kort afkoelen
Haal de beugel uit het water en laat hem 5–10 seconden afkoelen zodat hij niet te heet is voor je mond, maar nog wel goed vervormbaar blijft.
3. Vorm op maat in je mond
Plaats de beugel met de meegeleverde spatel in je mond. Zorg dat hij netjes over je tanden valt. Bijt vervolgens stevig maar comfortabel dicht op de beugel voor 20–30 seconden zodat hij zich exact naar jouw gebit vormt.
4. Laat uitharden in koud water
Haal de beugel uit je mond en leg hem direct in een glas met koud water voor 1–2 minuten. Hierdoor hardt hij uit in de juiste vorm. Daarna is je snurkbeugel klaar voor gebruik.
