A rescue blanket (also called an emergency blanket, warming blanket, or thermal blanket) is an essential part of your first aid kit, emergency pack, or outdoor equipment. The Comformidable rescue blankets are made of ultralight Mylar foil and help protect the body against cold, wind, and moisture.
Thanks to the double-sided function, you can use the blanket for both hypothermia and overheating:

Why use a rescue blanket?
The rescue blanket can regulate body temperature depending on which side you use. With the silver side inward, the foil reflects up to 80% of your body heat; this is ideal for hypothermia or shock. If you turn the gold side inward, the blanket reflects sunlight and heat away, helping to prevent overheating. Open the packaging and carefully unfold the blanket. Gently shake the foil loose. - Choose the correct side
- Silver side inward → for cold, hypothermia, or shock (to retain heat).
- Gold side inward → for heat or strong sun (to repel heat).

Wrap the blanket around the body, leaving the head free.

If the blanket is wet, let it dry, fold it carefully, and check for tears before using it again.
